Asertividad:SALLY AND BETTY, LET’S ROLE-PLAY

PURPOSE: Pupils will identify the main differences among the three role-plays. The goal of the first stage is to demonstrate that fighting does not lead to beneficial agreements. The second stage differentiates between passive opposition—where one party gives in just to avoid conflict—and assertive opposition, where both parties express and respect each other’s interests. The third stage introduces three strategies that facilitate assertive opposition, which can be practised through simple role-plays.
