Autoestima:BE YOURSELF!

PURPOSE: The main objective of this activity is to strengthen the students’ positive self-image. It begins with the teacher reading a poem that invites reflection on why we sometimes pretend to be someone else. Through a mirror exercise, the goal is to create a setting where classmates reinforce the volunteer’s self-esteem. Then, with a creative drawing task, children are encouraged to recognise and value themselves for who they truly are and to share a part of their drawing with the group. In this final stage, the teacher’s positive verbal feedback further boosts the effect of the activity.
